 40 SPORTS, 7 DAYS OF ADVENTURE, COMPETITION & PLAY!
The NSW Police Council of Sport Inc are proud to announce that they are hosting the 12th Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games (AP&ES Games), to be held between 11-18 October, 2008 in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
Since 1984, police service personnel throughout Australia have gathered under the umbrella of this national sporting event. The event is a biennial Games which offers approximately forty plus (40+) sporting events for competitors of all ages and ability.

The aim of the AP&ES Games 2008 is to -
  • Encourage and maximise participation of eligible police and emergency service personnel,
  • Promote improved health and wellbeing of police and emergency service personnel through active participation in sport,
  • Provide opportunities for sporting competition in a variety of activities catering for a range of age and skill levels,
  • Foster camaraderie, friendship, sportsmanship, goodwill and fellowship amongst eligible police and emergency services personnel,
  • Enhance the public recognition and professionalism of police and emergency services personnel through their active involvement in sport.

Over time the AP&ES Games has expanded to welcome the emergency service personnel and embrace competitors from New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The Australia and New Zealand Police Games Federation Inc (ANZPG Fed Inc) comprises of six directors representing various states and territories with seven delegates and nine members.
