National Police AFL Championships

The NSW Police Australian Football Club is calling for any interested players in competing in the 2006 National Police Australian Football Championships to be held in Sydney form the 7th to the 13th October 2005.

The competition involves Police from all States of Australia promoting camaraderie through Australian Football. A NSW team attended the championships in Adelaide in 2005 and finished a very credible second place with one of our players being nominated player of the carnival and four members selected in the All Australian Team.

We are calling from players from around NSW to come to Sydney in October and participate in this event. Games will be played on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday of that week. All games are being played at Henson Park, Marrickville and a bus will transport all players to and from the hotel in the city. An opening ceremony will be conducted on the Saturday and the carnival will be opened by dignitaries including Commissioner Maroney. There is a closing function organized and will consist of a Harbour Cruise where awards will be presented.

We have a hotel arranged if you require but need to have numbers for this by the end of June 2006.

There will be a cost involved, but with this you will receive a team shirt, shorts and socks and. The final cost will be determined at a later date.

At this stage we are looking for definite numbers so if you wish to participate contact Adam Griffiths on GRIF1ADA or Brad Freney on FREN1BRA and submit your leave form.

This is a great event to be a part of with not only a good brand of football played but also the chance to meet and socialise with other Police from around Australia.
Thanks for your interest,

Adam Griffiths
