"THE POLICE MASTERS - 2004"
Golf Sydney Tours would like to
invite you to enter a team in the Inaugural "Police Masters" Golf
Tournament. This event will be staged under a team format with 4
players making up a team. The best three scores in each round will
count towards the team total. A total of 46 Local Area Commands
from the Sydney Metropolitan Area have been invited to this event.
The details of the competition are as follows:
The Competition:
A team stableford event of 4 players
with the best 3 scores counting each day. Each team of 4 players
will compete over 2 days to determine the divisional winner. The
divisional winner will progress to the final which will be made
up of the five divisional winners. There is no cost to those
teams reaching the final.
The Venues:
Calderwood Valley Golf Course and
Shell Cove Golf Course. Accommodation at the Warilla Bowling and
Recreation Club on a 4 share basis.
The Divisions:
1. LAC's. Eastwood, Flemington,
Gladesville, Harbourside, Ku-rin-gai, Manly, North Shore, Northern
Beaches.
2. LAC's. Bankstown, Blacktown, Cabramatta, Fairfield, Hawkesbury,
Holroyd, Parramatta, Quakers Hill, Rosehill, The Hills.
3. LAC's. Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Green Valley,
Liverpool, Macquarie Fields, Mt. Druitt, Penrith, St. Mary's.
4. LAC's. Ashfield, Burwood, Campsie, City of Sydney, Leichhardt,
Marrickville, Newtown, Redfern, Surry Hills, The Rock's.
5. LAC's. Botany Bay, Eastern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, Hurstville,
Kings Cross, Miranda, Rose Bay, St. George, Sutherland.
The Dates:
Division 1 - 3rd & 4th February,
2004.
Division 2 - 10th & 11th February,
2004.
Division 3 - 17th & 18th February, 2004.
Division 4 - 24th & 25th February, 2004.
Division 5 - 2nd & 3rd March, 2004.
The Final - 30th & 31st March,
2004.
Note: As there can only be
5 teams per division, the first 5 teams to enter and pay their deposit
will be assured of a place in that division. A LAC can nominate
a second team, however, that team will be put on a reserve list.
The Cost:
$ 195.00 per person for the divisional
games only. ( based on 4 share ). No Cost for a Team that
reaches the Final.
Inclusions:
18 holes at Shell Cove Golf Course.
18 holes at Calderwood Valley Golf Course. 1 nightÕs accommodation
at the Warilla Bowling and Recreation Club Cabins. Bar-B-Q Dinner
on Saturday night. Cooked Bar-B-Q Breakfast on Sunday morning. $
150.00 worth of prizes at each divisional game. $ 1000.00 worth
of prizes for the Final including Shield and Masters Jacket for
the winners.
No Cost for divisional winners to
the final. All transfers to and from the divisional games and to
the final in an air-conditioned mini-bus with fully enclosed walk-in
trailer.
Pull buggies will be provided as space will be limited in the trailer.
The GST.
Exclusions:
Meals and Refreshments other than
those stated in the inclusions. Any other out of pocket expenses.

Entries close on Friday, 24th October, 2003.
The attached Entry Form must be filled out and be accompanied by
a deposit of $50.00 per person.
The balance of $145.00 must be paid one week in advance of your
divisional game. All cheques are to be made payable to Golf Sydney
Tours Pty Ltd.
Entry Forms can be either posted or e-mailed but must be received
by the above date.
It is envisaged that this event
will provide a relaxed, social atmosphere where all participants
will be able to enjoy mixing with other Police from within the Sydney
area.
A detailed itinerary will be forwarded
to you after the close of entries. If you could nominate your preferred
pick-up points on the entry form this will help with the organization
of transport.
I have just completed the qualifying
rounds for a similar tournament for Local Government with the Final
being played in November. I am also conducting a similar tournament
for the Fire Brigade to be played in April / May next year.
